We believe the Scriptures are without error and man's infallible guide
for faith and life. Salvation is an undeserved gift to all who
receive God's salvation based on the substitutionary death of Christ alone. The Lord Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and after His Crucifixion, arose
from the dead and is now exalted at the right hand of God. We believe all men
will be resurrected bodily, in their own order: the saved unto everlasting
bliss, and the unbeliever to everlasting and conscious judgment. The Lord
Jesus will return to this earth one day as He promised, and establish a kingdom
based on righteousness and truth. The church is composed of
all who are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe genuine
salvation results in new birth and a changed life.
Our church is led by a combination of Elders and
congregation. We see this pattern in the life of the early church found in
the book of Acts.
The Elder board is chosen by the church body. The Elders meet twice a month for
prayer and study of the Word. They also strive to lead the church on the
basis of unanimous decision of its membership.
Springville Road Community Church also has a body of deacons who carry out
ministries assigned to them by the Elders as needs arise.
