The Community Difference The Community Difference is the youth ministry at SRCC and includes students in 7th thru 12th grades. We incorporate the "Sonlife" philosophy in our ministry. Sonlife is an organization that trains pastors, youth pastors and lay staff for ministry. The youth ministry of SRCC focuses on three main areas of ministry: winning, building and equipping. This means 'winning' the lost, 'building' up believers in Christ and 'equipping' them to minister to others. We believe this helps train our students to be Christians who are involved in their local church. Rob Caine is our Youth Pastor. He has worked with the youth at SRCC for over 20 years. Along with Rob there is a quality staff of adult leaders who work diligently to help make this a solid ministry. The Community Difference meets on Wednesday nights at the church at 6:30 PM for Bible study, worship, prayer and fellowship. We also have Sunday school classes for both the Jr. and Sr. high at 9:00 Sunday mornings. The adult staff meets weekly to pray and plan for upcoming events and trips. These trips include Sr. high camp in the summer, a weekend retreat in the fall and most years we do a mid-winter retreat as well. The church also provides opportunities for our students to participate in mission trips both here and abroad.
